Flexible Rod System

The Flexible Rod System is a flexible mechanical net that consists of Primary rods, Secondary rods, Connecting elements and Magnets.

The rod system precisely recreates digitally created surface into a physical shape on the adaptive mould, by supporting the membrane in creating precise and smooth curvatures.

The rod system is specially designed and adjusted to create interaction between the key elements according the adaptive mould type recommended for different application segments. The rod system can also be customized to fit specific customer demands.

Magnets placed attached to the flexible rod system, are there to force the smooth membrane on top of them to take the shape according to the rod system position, enabling the user to have a smooth surface to work on.

Technical Description

The flexible rod system is a very delicate system that has to be taken care of and made inspections on every so often to prolong lifetime and keep the accuracy and performance high.

Exact description is supplied upon delivery of each adaptive mould.

Depending on the purpose the rods are either steel or carbon of different diameters. We recommend to store a small quantity of replacement rods, for either preventive or repair purpose.
